怪奇馬戲班

無人知曉的落寞戲班 意想不到的詭譎劇情
還有那些廢棄物件搭建的魔幻場景

帳篷內搭建了一個被遺棄的世界,堆滿廢棄家庭用件、不要的玩具、淨灘撿來的垃圾、還有五顏六色的塑膠袋。半人半偶的動物角色們,穿戴各式物件所拼湊的變形特徵,加上變幻多端的光影奇景,從這詭譎又超現實的世界中浮現。一群等不到主人回來的馬戲班動物,時而幽默搞笑、時而大打出手、偶爾互相指責、終至無助絕望。看似無俚頭的對話中,卻隱藏著深刻的人文關懷,以「動物與主人」點出了「需要與依賴」之隱喻:以被人類馴養的動物,暗喻被政權秩序囚禁的人類;甚至延伸到人類對於自然能源的依賴。被遺忘的馬戲班,既是人們為了求生存而勾心鬥角的寫實舞台,更像是災難過後,拖著變形身軀努力從牢籠逃脫的倖存者。

Master/Monster

A deserted world is built inside the circus tent, with domestic-object wastes, dumped toys, trash from beaches, and plastic bags in various colors. The half-human-half-puppet animal characters have some part of their bodies attached to different objects as symbols of mutation, illuminated by transformative light as they emerge from the creepy but yet surrealistic world. The circus animals have been waiting for their master to come back, but it never happens. In their futile waiting, they make fun, they fight, they accuse each other, and eventually they experience the helpless desperation. The nonsense conversation is a disguise for a deeper concern for humanity. The animal-versus-master relationship is in fact the metaphor of need and dependence: the domesticized animals symbolize the humans prisoned by regime and authority, sometime even the excessive reliance on natural resources. The forgotten circus is a cruel stage where a battle of survival is taking place while all humans are part of it, playing the roles of disaster survivors who struggle to escape from the cage with mutated bodies.
